Hello. My name is Janice Lee Holowka. I grew up in New Jersey and attended K-12 public schools. I then earned a B.S. in Marketing from Lehigh University before working in New York City. After that, I moved to London, England, where I lived for 21 years, completed my MBA, in International Business, and where my two children were born. My professional experience spans consumer product marketing, management consulting, and educational consulting. I have now lived in Rancho Santa Fe for the past 9+ years.
As a parent of two children with unique strengths, interests and needs, I have gained invaluable insights into the diverse challenges families face. As an educational consultant actively involved with the San Dieguito, Del Mar Union and Oceanside Unified school districts, I also understand the complex issues confronting school districts today. I am committed to offering perspectives that focus on the whole child and empowering every student to succeed. And having frequently provided constructive feedback, through public comment, at school board meetings, I believe it’s important to step into a role where I can also receive and respond to criticism as part of a collaborative effort.
Moreover, I believe my personal experiences along with my professional expertise has equipped me with the skills to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this important role and to be an asset to the community as a Rancho Santa Fe School Board trustee.
